Timeline

The Project
Convert a poster-sized complex timeline into a navigable on-screen version. And allow a quizzing screen to point to particular parts of the timeline in response to student answers. Time Line

What We Did
The publisher provided the PDF of an 80 inch wide timeline. We redesigned for on-screen presentation retaining as much of the original look as possible. The primary challenge was in making navigation easy.

We coded all the navigation elements including programatic transitions for motion graphic effects from any point to any point on the time line.

We also built a quiz shell. Questions and answers are read in from an XML file. After a student answers a question, the correct answer is displayed and the timeline quickly scrolls from its current location to the location revealing the answer.
